Exit II places an emphasis on the artist’s process. Our wide range of programming includes workshops and Master Classes taught by industry professionals who help coach and mentor our artists. Through hands-on training catered to the individual, we provide a space for artists to focus on their craft while being part of a supportive and nurturing community.
Exit II offers a variety of Master Classes with Broadway professionals. Previous guests include Tommy Bracco (Broadway's "Newsies") and Erika Henningsen (Broadway's "Mean Girls"). Through working with professional artists, students get the opportunity to gain insight from the best the industry has to offer.
Exit II offers short-term Intensives, ranging anywhere from two to seven days. These programs tend to focus on a particular subject. A recent Audition Intensive gave students the opportunity to finesse their material, learn how to prepare for a professional audition, and enter the room with confidence and ease.
Workshops at Exit II are comprehensive classes for small groups, lasting anywhere from eight to ten weeks. These Song Performance classes focus on character development, acting and vocal technique, and bringing who you are to the material. Each student receives a song assignment chosen specifically for them according to their needs and strengths as a performer. Workshops culminate in a Performance Showcase of students' work for family and friends.
